Icelandic APELE Team – Changes on the law on admission requirements for universities in Iceland
Contributing to change the admission conditions to the University in Iceland: on November 27th, 2020 the Icelandic APELE team submitted a statement/comment regarding the bill amending the University Act, no. 63/2006 and the Act on Public Universities, no. 85/2008.
The consultation has been organized by the Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture to increase equality in studies, regardless of the different study paths of students and the final examinations from upper secondary schools that students have completed. This change will enhance a stronger connection between education and the business community and among other things it will strength vocational and technical studies.
